Mike Sweeney, PTH Racing Oil

His first job in racing was as an 18-year-old junior mechanic at a Porsche specialty and race shop. Since then, Mike has worked as a tow driver for vintage racers; mechanic for a racing school; race driver for many club and professional teams; driving instructor for go-kart, sprint car, stock car, formula car and sports car schools; private coach for many racers; marketing manager for a professional racing team; and spotter for IMSA, Pirelli World Challenge, and the Intercontinental GT3 Challenge.

As a driver, Mr. Sweeney has raced and won at local and national levels—driving everything from dirt track sprint cars to front drive touring cars—and has the experience necessary to thoroughly understand the difference between a properly prepared car and an “also-ran”.

As a student, he enjoys learning everything he can about the technical side of the sport, and as a fan, he dedicates himself to studying the history of motor racing.

As the Manager and in-house driver at Pacific Throttle House, Mike’s setup and development experience and coaching abilities, combined with his technical expertise in racing, add valuable insight into the PTH Racing Oils testing and development.
